The 2016 Arthur J. Holton American Legion Post 192 Dinner with Friends

The Arthur J. Holton American Legion Post 192 of Wenonah held its annual Dinner and Dancing with Friends banquet on Saturday, February 6, 2016. This community-wide event recognized the fellow Wenonah volunteers, Richard Black and Drew Sole, for their efforts during the June 2015 microburst that downed trees, damaged homes and property, and knocked our Borough off the 21st century power grid for nearly a week. Rich serves as the Borough’s Emergency Management coordinator and Drew is the Borough’s Fire Chief. Both men spent countless hours over the course of the week that followed the microburst leading the effort to clean-up the damage from the storm.

Post 192 also honored several of its members including Bob Bevilacqua for all he has done for the Post and for the Borough of Wenonah. Recognition well-deserved for an outstanding gentleman. Finally, the Post recognized Gateway Guidance Counselor Melissa Powell and this year’s delegates to Boys State: Matthew Funk, Logan Bersani, and Tommy Nicolle. Over the years, Ms. Powell has provided invaluable assistance to the Post in support of the Legion’s Boy State program.
