The Canon EF-M 32mm f/1.4 STM was released in summer of 2018... and I picked it up as soon as it hit the shelves. It is a compact prime lens for the EOS M series cameras, coming in at approximately 50mm on a full-frame body. This is a wonderful "normal" lens. It is bright and fast with a maximum aperture of 1.4. The lens is sharp, even wide open. The images it produces are just beautiful. It is the first of the M series lenses that can produce the depth of field found on much larger EF lenses. Although it lacks "IS", thats ok. I'll trade speed for image stabilization any day of the week. I don't know how much Canon intends to invest into the EOS M line of cameras... but at the very least, they made this lens.
