Canon EOS Rebel SL1
Used from 2016 to 2018
I bought the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 on Ebay in 2016. It was cheap, I was curious, and I was looking for something smaller. I didn't use it much over the years, finally selling it 2019. I did, however, take about 541 keepers during that time, some of which are framed and hanging on my walls. The saying is true: the best camera to have is the one you have with you.
CAMERA REVIEW: This little camera was entirely plastic, which made for a very light camera. Just like Canon's larger bodied cameras, the SL2 still felt comfortable to hold and operate. Because I usually shoot in manual, I found the layout of the buttons and controls a bit awkward and I often could not quickly change my shutter speed, ISO, or aparture. Although the SL1 was not stellar in poor lighting, the it nonetheless held its on in good lighting with better lenses. Like all Canon cameras, the menu was simple and easy to use. All in all, a fun little camera.

In the photos below, I included the first and last photos I took with this camera. As with all interchangeable lens cameras, both the camera and lens matters. For each picture, you can click on the details to see what lenses were used. I had this camera for less than a year.
