Ok, over the years, I have grown fond of smaller, lighter cameras and lenses. I picked up the Canon EOS RP in one of those crazy post holidays sells in early 2019. It was a mirrorless camera, and one of Canon's first (little brother to the Canon EOS R, which also hit the market around the same time.

CAMERA REVIEW:  Wow. I was instantly smitten. The EQ was the same as the CanonEOS 6DII (same processor). Handling was a little weird, as it had a different layout from the Canon 5D cameras of which I was familiar. The upside was that this camera was small, smaller than my the little Canon Rebel SL1 and 2 that I also had at the time. It was by far the smallest full body camera I've ever seen. I quickly purchased the excellent RF 35mm f/1.8 IS STM MACRO lens  to create just an awesome small travel full bodied travel camera. This little camera is a beast, punching waaaay out of its weight class. Although I never totally adapted to the button layout, the camera always produced quality images. I eventually sold it adter I bought the Canon EOS R. The R was only slightly larger, but it possessed better ergonomics (for me at least) and was essentially a "mirrorless 5DIV" (kinda). Either way, mirrorless is really the best way to go - for me at least. Being able to see exactly tthe image I am shooting in the view finder, including the field of depth, brightness, color saturation, and dynamic range was a game changer. I did not own this camera long, roughly less than  year in 2019. However, during that time, I took approximately 1,300 keepers. Great camera.

CAMERA SPECIFICATIONS:  Its easier to include a link for the specifications than to list them all out here. Click HERE . In the photos below, I included the first and last photos I took with this camera. With interchangeable lens cameras, both the camera and lens matters. For each picture, you can click on the details to see what lenses were used.
